Enterprise Account Executive Sarena Lynch just celebrated her one-year anniversary at Branch. From hitting success metrics in her sales goals to becoming a leader for our Roots ERG (Employee Resource Group), Sarena stays busy and has a strong impact on Branch business and our culture. We asked Sarena how she’s grown at Branch and dove into what motivates her to be a strategist for Branch customers in sales calls and beyond.
What does a normal day at Branch look like for you?
My role entails understanding the gap between the expectation and reality of functional mobile experiences that companies see in their user journeys in order to connect product, marketing, and technology professionals with Branch solutions. A huge component of my role is strategizing with Branch customers to understand how we can ensure a unique, personalized experience for them, as well as a streamlined and user-friendly experience for their customers.
What do you love about your job?
I love learning about the strategy that goes into the complex interactions we have with brands every day. As an avid app user, I appreciate learning and advising on strategies Branch customers can use to offer a personalized experience to their users.
What made you choose to work at Branch and what makes Branch different from other places you worked at?
I chose Branch because I knew I would enjoy the opportunity to work in a fast moving startup environment that is supported by a world class product suite. Branch represents an amazing opportunity for me to grow personally and professionally with my colleagues, while being an active part of Branch moving into the next step in its lifecycle.
How have you grown at Branch?
Being at Branch has allowed me to learn more about the intricacies of the mobile industry, giving me a deeper understanding of the technology that shapes how I interact and use my phone. I’ve also been lucky to meet and work with a number of individuals from extensive backgrounds in Tech and Sales that I learn from on a daily basis. Seeing what goes on behind the scenes of an app user experience has made me a true advocate for well-supported marketing campaigns, and I love getting to strategize the proper Branch tech stack for our customers’ needs.
What has your career path looked like and how did you decide to focus on sales?
I previously worked in fundraising in the nonprofit sector and I loved that experience because I enjoyed connecting with different people every day. I transitioned into sales because I enjoyed the problem solving aspect of the role; the satisfaction of solving the pain points that my customers see in their business and tracking that progress against my personal goals gives me the motivation daily to push myself to learn and get out of my comfort zone to be the best I can be.
